PC-PEP Man of the Month: Kyle Tracey
Introduction
This month, we celebrate Kyle Tracey, an inspiring PC-PEP graduate, mentor, and prostate cancer survivor from Ontario. Diagnosed in his late 40s—much earlier than most men expect—Kyle’s journey is a powerful reminder of the life-saving importance of early detection and the strength that comes from community, courage, and knowledge.
Since joining PC-PEP in 2022, Kyle has become a steadfast advocate for proactive health, mental well-being, and peer mentorship. Together with his family and through the Tracey Foundation, Kyle has also generously supported PC-PEP research and expansion, helping make this program accessible to men across Canada and around the world.
“Early detection saves lives. A simple PSA test could make all the difference.”
Contribution & Impact
Kyle’s impact on the PC-PEP community extends beyond his own healing. Through his openness and generosity, he has become both a mentor and ambassador—using his story to raise awareness about prostate cancer in younger men and the importance of regular screening for those with a family history.
As a participant and mentor since 2022, Kyle has embodied the program’s mission to empower men to reclaim agency over their health and lives. His experience through active surveillance, surgery, and radiation taught him that resilience is not about avoiding hardship, but about meeting it with grace, support, and determination.
Through the Tracey Foundation’s philanthropic support, Kyle and his family have strengthened PC-PEP’s research capacity and community reach—fueling new opportunities for education, mentorship, and connection. Their contribution exemplifies the spirit of shared purpose that drives PC-PEP forward.

👕 The Story Behind the T-Shirts: Why It Matters
The PC-PEP T-shirts are more than just fabric—they are symbols of connection, awareness, and pride in being part of the PC-PEP community.
These shirts were made possible by David Ashcroft, a fellow PC-PEP mentor and author, who donated proceeds from his memoir Searching for Belonging and designed the artwork himself.
Gestures like David’s mean so much to our lab and the PC-PEP community. Each shirt sparks conversations, raises awareness about prostate cancer, and reminds men everywhere that they are not alone. These small acts help PC-PEP fulfill its mission: forming communities of empowerment that transform isolation into connection and fear into resilience.
